Today, we’d like to give a shout out to @lanyards.co.uk who came to our rescue when we needed to source some very specific double-ended branded lanyards (with a safety release for good measure!) for a series of client events starting in June 🙌

This is the second year that Sunflower Event Team have run Qualicon, the annual global event for Game Quality professionals; it's a two-day online event and we work all year long to bring it together with the content committee.

Looking after speakers from submission through to tech checks and onboarding, overseeing the production team, videographers, social media (even dabbling in Discord this year!) and delegate comms plan across the member studios.

We'll be showcasing our individual event partners and suppliers over the next few weeks, and sharing some of the lovely 'thank yous' we've received. 🌻

Today, we would like to spotlight Creative Economy Team (CET) who we have worked with for the last two years on Qualicon, the virtual conference for Game Quality professionals.

This year's event happened over two days last week (10 & 11 May) and CET supported us and the Qualicon team on the behind-the-scenes build and production of the Hopin event platform.

Today, we’d love to thank one of our incredible venues, @piedaterrerestaurant in Fitzrovia - always the setting for some exceptional events. Being in the heart of London and having the honour of being the longest standing Michelin starred restaurant in the UK, this place really is wonderful 🙌

It offers exquisite fine dining in the main restaurant and its 3 private dining rooms over 3 floors, which gives so many options for private dining, meetings and get togethers (and some lovely 🌻 decoration!). We combined our Tuesday team catch up with afternoon tea today, to belatedly celebrate the #Coronation. Of course, it started up the age-old debate of 'cream first or jam first?' To which we added 'coffee or tea?' but all agreed that raspberry jam is superior to strawberry #contraversial Tell us your thoughts in the chat - and let us know who you think took several bites before this photo could be taken!

Our positive focus was all about catching up with friends and family - and eating LOTS of cake and barbequed food - over the long weekend.

We are also looking forward to one of our major 2023 virtual events happening this week: #Qualicon for Game Quality professionals - we'll be thanking our suppliers and global collaborators on socials over the next few weeks.

This beautiful private dining room, The Blake Room, is located in the lovely Ivy Brasserie in Soho @the_ivy_collection and is the home for the fab Work The Room networking lunch 👯‍♀️

It was a pleasure to work with Cheryl @londonwebgirl and Liz @thepayrollqueen on finding the perfect venue for their event and it was such a brilliant afternoon for female business owners to come together to enjoy some delicious food, drink and networking!

The Ivy are always a safe pair of hands, and we love the versatility of this room as you can have round tables seating up to 40 or one large table seating up to 26 so a fabulous option for that very special event. Do you and your colleagues do this? Last week, we all turned up wearing stripes, today we were all in shades of green! #greenmemo 💚

We looked it up and green can signify many things, from the environment to money - and aliens! - but we love that it’s the colour of 'revitalisation and rebirth'. It's psychologically calming, stress-relieving, and (rather paradoxically) invigorating. Who doesn't feel better after a walk in nature? (Unless you're affected by the current high pollen count, of course.)

Our positive focus this week centred on the Bank Holiday, a time for spring cleaning, meeting up with friends and getting some exercise in. Antonia visted bluebell woods at Leith Hill @nationaltrust and Hannah celebrated her wedding anniversary on International Sunflower Day!🌻💛

Bank Holiday Mondays are key this month, with the two annual holidays on 1st and 29th May, and then the extra one for the King's coronation on 8th May - there's just two regular Mondays this month! (Garfield the grumpy cat would be delighted😼)

230 councils across England are holding local elections on 4 May - remember to vote if this includes you!

Football fans won't need reminding of the Women's FA Cup Final on 14th May, which is also World Fairtrade Day.

Strikes are continuing throughout May, with junior doctors, National Education Union members, passport office workers, nurses, parking wardens, local BBC journalists and Heathrow staff all proposing action at some point.

Ending on a lighter note, don't forget Star Wars Day on 4th May - May the Fourth be with you🛸
